Bookings & Contract

All bookings made by phone, email, or online form a binding agreement between the customer and J Pest Control.

Parking & Congestion Charges

Please note: if parking is not provided by the customer, any parking fees, tolls, or congestion charges incurred will be added to the final bill. By booking with us, you agree to cover these costs. We do not store your card details, but any card payment we take is securely tokenised, allowing us to process parking or access fees where needed.

Pricing

Quotations given over the phone, by email, or online are based on average property sizes according to the number of bedrooms or information supplied by the customer. J Pest Control reserves the right to adjust any quote after inspecting the property or if requirements change.

In cases of severe infestation where standard treatments may not be suitable, we will recommend the most effective solution and provide a revised cost. You are entitled to decline an upgraded service, but a cancellation fee will apply if you choose not to proceed with the original booking. Customers must ensure access to the premises at the agreed time and prepare the property as advised when booking.

If keys are provided, they must open and close all locks without special effort or tools.

Failure to provide access will result in a reschedule or cancellation fee:

  • £95 (one technician)

  • £190 (two technicians)
    All charges are plus VAT.

J Pest Control is not responsible for activating alarm systems. Customers must provide clear

instructions for disabling or resetting alarms or locks.

Where required, customers should help our technicians secure parking and supply any necessary permits.

Payment Terms

We accept:

  1. Credit/debit card

  2. Secure online payment links sent by our team

  3. Invoice by bank transfer or cheque (ONLY if agreed in advance)

Commercial clients with approved accounts may receive 7-day payment terms.

Cash payments are not generally accepted for security reasons.

Once treatment begins, your 14-day cooling-off period is waived.

Any unpaid balances must be settled before or during our first visit.

If payment is not made, your tokenised card may be charged automatically.

Cancellation & Deposit Policy

Deposits are non-refundable.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a charge of 50% of the agreed treatment cost.

Same-day cancellations or failing to notify us in time will be charged the full amount.

Our minimum call-out fee is £150 + VAT.

If we attend and no pest control service is required for example, if the issue is not pest-related or has been misidentified

the call-out fee, or 50% of the treatment cost (whichever is higher), applies.

If you cannot keep your appointment, we may waive the cancellation fee if you rebook within 7 days

( this does not apply to free follow-up visits these incur the standard

cancellation charge if cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice ).

For heat treatments and other services requiring a deposit, any remaining fees will be charged

automatically after the visit unless agreed otherwise.

Failure to pay cancellation fees within 7 days will result in the debt being passed to a recovery agency.

Any additional costs from recovery agents will be added to your balance.

Cancellation fees apply if:

  • You are not present at the agreed time

  • The premises are not properly prepared as advised

  • You cancel the booking with insufficient notice

Emergency bookings must be prepaid in full, or part-paid if agreed. These payments are non-refundable

unless J Pest Control fails to attend for reasons within our control.

Claims & Complaints

Once treatment has been carried out, refunds are not possible as services cannot be reversed.

We aim to respond within 7 working days. We will investigate all claims thoroughly and propose an appropriate solution.

If damage occurs due to our actions, we will cover repairs only if contractors or materials are approved by J Pest Control in advance. Further resolution will be handled through our insurance, details of which are available upon request.
